Why do they have West South East North brackets?

Some people ask why they have West South East North brackets? and the reason is there are four number 1's that are placed in each bracket. If the four Number 1's win they reach the last four, then play each other for the championship game. All other teams not number 1's are matched up against each other that eventually must play the number 1's. Some will beat the number 1 team. That is where the excitement begins.
